FOODS TO LOWER CANCER RISK

Eating healthy food has many benefits to our body which provides us energy and nutrition which we need for growth and to repair any certain problems or diseases.

What you eat that affects your body in many ways. sometimes in wrong way or wrong foods can lead to risk of chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, diabetes. Cancer can be treated using right treatment but till then cancer can be controlled by just following right eating habits. There are many foods which helps in decrease the growth of cancer.

  1. Broccoli – Broccoli helps in treating cancer. It contains Sulforaphane. A higher intake of cruciferous vegetables helps in reducing cancer risk.
  2. Carrots – Seeral studies and research has found that eating carrots can decrease risk of various types of cancer.
  3. Research says that eating carrots helps reducing 25% of stomach cancer, 20% lower odds of developing prostate cancer and many more risk are reduced and that’s why one should consider carrots as main factor for reducing cancer risk.
  4. Beans – Beans are higher in fiber, and more intake of fiber reduces the cancer risk. A study found that higher intake of beans helps reducing risk of colorectal tumors and colon cancer.
  5. Berries – Berries contain higher amount of anthocyanins and that antioxidant properties and may associated with reduce the higher risk of cancer. Another research proved that freeze dried reduce tumor and cancer risk by 54%.
  6. Cinnamon – Cinnamon is known for its health benefits and also reduce blood sugar. The research found that cinnamon block the spread of various cancer cell and also oil of cinnamon reduce head and neck cancer cell and also reduce tumor size. So one should include 2-4 grams of cinnamon in diet.
  7. Nuts –  Almost 20,000 people research was conducted and found of that people suffering from cancer specially patients of up to 30 years who have included nuts in their regular diet helped them controlling the cancer because nuts contain selenium which helps in protecting lungs cancer and other.
  8. Turmeric – Turmeric is well known spice which has antioxidant properties and which treats various problem and diseases. Intake of turmeric in day to day diet reduces chronic disease too. Daily intake of turmeric reduced the number of lesions present by 40%. One should aim at least 1/2 teaspoon or 1-3 grams of turmeric on daily basis to get the effective result of reducing cancer risk
